Williamston Female College

This note appears on the inside cover of the 1901-1902 catalog. Obviously Samuel Lander had been battling his kidney ailment for some time before his death in 1904. One of the elements that we want to deal with in the story of Samuel Lander is his ability to hold on until the college transferred to Greenwood.

This is labeled as Williamston Female College in 1886.

There is no description but it looks to be the earliest rendition of the old hotel. Note the trees and square columns on the street side.

These two ladies are standing in the park area near the springs. The column view of W.F.C. is behind them somewhat similar to the last photo.

No details for this one. This is obviously later than most others from this angle with the street paved, fire hydrant, chain link fence and brick buildings (restaurant) beyond on same side of street.
